The ClutterMeister helps business owners who are overwhelmed by the amount of different tasks they have to do on a daily basis, or they find they spend too much time on their admin, or simply want to delegate mundane tasks to someone they can trust.
My services come in different shapes and sizes:
Work can be arranged either as blocks of half or full days (preferable for full-scale reorganisation and clean-up sessions) or by the hour (mainly for regular weekly or bi-weekly assistance).
Prices depend on the type of services provided:
Please keep in mind that the pricing ultimately depends on a whole range of factors that will be addressed specifically in the evaluation report. And THAT should really be the basis for your decision if you wish to take on my services.
"How exactly do you work?"
I believe that any business has areas that could do with improvement. When I am called in to solve a particular issue I start by determining what the real problem is: often what is described as the problem turns out to actually be a symptom of an underlying issue, and it is this issue that needs addressing. The aim of an initial evaluation meeting is to pinpoint not just the real issues, but also to determine the most efficient and realistic way to apply changes that stand a chance of being accepted.
As an outsider, I have no preconception of the company, nor any knowledge why matters have turned out the way they are. Therefore, I bring a new perspective that is not bound by any status quo or history: all I see is the "now", and I quickly get a sense that some matters are not quite what they seem to be. More often than not the winning solution turns out to be a very simple one, based on common sense, taking care of sensibilities, using existing materials or software, and a good portion of people skills. Of course, soft solutions only work in certain situations, and often it is necessary to develop a technical solution, e.g. a form, template or reshuffling of a set of workflows.
Taking this into consideration, I believe that my work is only done when an acceptable solution has been successfully implemented to the customers' satisfaction.
It all started with a dream.
You wanted to become an artist, a translator or a gardener, run your own shop, open a B&B, build whimsical bird houses or sell sandwiches on roller skates... and then one day you decided it was time to take the plunge. You found your footing, landed a number of clients and started on your way towards that bright future you dreamed about. But somewhere along the line you realised that being your own boss involves a lot of paperwork, organising and sorting out besides the fun stuff you originally set out to do. Now what?
This is where I come in.
I actually like to deal with paperwork and sorting things out! Let me help you organise your office space, sort out your paperwork, streamline your workflows and create a more efficient working environment.
And help you get back out there in the real world...
This is me
I was born and educated in Germany up to university level and have been working in multilingual and international settings in Belgium for nearly 25 years, carrying out diverse office work, teaching & coaching, and planning & organisation. I hold a BA in Office Management & Translation.
I've seen it all: piles of documents sitting on desks and waist high along the walls, binders with document lacking any organising principle, electronic files lost in a filing system gone awry, forgotten invoices, badly formatted documents, … you name it!
Holding positions of Teacher, Bookkeeper, Personal Assistant, After Hours Secretary, Software Trainer and inofficial "Resident Genie who can think on his feet and always saves the day" over the years, I have learned and perfected the art of assessing and dealing with disorganised situations and spaces from the bottom up.
Using my skills for planning and streamlining I often find solutions where others only see problems. I have a strong sense of loyalty, aspire to deliver the highest quality of work and pride myself on my ability to deal with clients professionally and respectfully. The art of listening is paramount for me in order to better understand a client's needs and supplying the requested services.
